Notre Dame journalism professor Robert Schmuhl writes in the Chicago Tribune that Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan share similarities.
Specifically, he mentions both men's close relationships with their mothers and both of their abilities to use words skillfully.
Schmuhl's analysis is just a little too sappy for me, and smacks of more media infatuation with Illinois junior senator, but hey, to each his own . . . and after all, Schmuhl's a trained journalist. Scary thing is, he's training a new generation of more journalists with poor discernment to follow his lead.
