SPRINGFIELD - Fearing he may get booed, Gov. Pat Quinn move his Governor's Day speech from the traditional State Fair location to a local hotel where his campaign could control the attendees.
The change in location did nothing to dampen Quinn's class warfare rhetoric however. He told the select group: “There was a great president who was around when I was coming up,” Quinn said. “And John Kennedy said a rising tide lifts all boats. Now I’m running against somebody who thought Kennedy said a rising tide lifts all yachts. That’s what he thinks, okay?”
Quinn trails Rauner in the polls.
