WASHINGTON - Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the case of Chicago area mom Pam Harris, who is challenging Illinois Governor Pat Quinn's 2009 executive order forcing her to pay Service Employees International Union dues to take care of her own developmentally-disabled son Josh in their private home.
"Forced unionization" is the issue on the table, National Right to Work Executive Director Mark Mix explained to a group in South Carolina Monday.
"The stakes in Harris v. Quinn couldn't be higher," Mix said, public sector employees nationwide may be affected by the ruling.
"Pam has the courage to fight powers hundreds of times bigger than her. We can look to people like Pam for inspiration and the energy to fight back," Mix said in the video below the fold:
