DUPAGE - GOP candidate for U.S. Senate Doug Truax reacted Wednesday afternoon to reports that Dick Durbin's comment that an unnamed Republican Congress member told President Obama in last week's budget negotiations, "I cannot stand to look at you." Wednesday, White House spokesman Jay Carney said Durbin's report "did not happen."
Truax's office was outraged with the report and demanded an apology from Durbin - or hold the White House accountable for lying.
"Attack dog Dick Durbin needs to apologize to the American people for yet another manufactured, unproductive partisan attack, or, in the alternative, declare that the White House is not telling the truth," said Dan Curry, Truax's spokesman.
