How will ObamaCare affect you? The National Republican Senate Committee has evaluated how Illinoisans will be affected, and came up with a graphic that ties the numbers together.
In March 2013, the Society of Actuaries predicted Illinois' individual insurance will increase by an average of 51 percent. They also found through CMS.gov that Illinois Medicare enrollees would lose $12,344 over the next ten years and that each household would pay $272 more annually in taxes for expanded Mediacid patient rolls.
In addition, major employers (including health care providers) are laying people off because of the cost of providing government-approved health care plans for fulltime workers.
