PLAINFIELD - Wednesday morning across America, high schoolers gathered around their school's flag pole to pray for their country, their state, their schools and their futures. In front of the Plainfield Central High School at 6:30 am this morning, 35 students from various youth groups joined the national "See You at the Pole" event, part of a weeklong global youth prayer effort.
With high schoolers around the nation facing attacks on religious freedoms, the See You at the Pole effort is taking on more and more significance.
All in all it was "Pretty inspiring," said mom Deb Kraulidis, whose two high schoolers participated.
