CHICAGO - Here's a photo from the Illinois Republican Day at the State Fair that's gotten a lot of attention - featured prominently in Friday's Chicago Tribune. It's Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner, who rode helmeted into the fairgrounds alone on his Harley Thursday. Illinois Review readers are all over it.
The photo depicts Rauner supporters greeting him upon his fairground entrance. According to the photo, Rauner was warmly received by several sign holders, including one - Susan Petty - who until July 31st, 2013, we're told, worked for Adam Andrzejewski's "For the Good of Illinois" organization. It's unknown whether Ms. Petty is now working for Rauner, but there's a growing array of Adam staffers that have jumped on the Rauner wagon as he campaigns around the state. And it's fairly certain Ms. Petty is an enthusiastic supporter, after all, she's hoisting a Rauner sign and donning a Rauner t-shirt.
Where was Mrs. Rauner during this photo? It's unknown, but she definitely wasn't in this photo's reach.
