CHICAGO - So, everyone's talking about it this morning - Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke's X-rated performance on MTV's VMA Music Awards Sunday night. For those that don't keep up with what 2013 teens are into, here's a still of one of Cyrus and Thicke's many provocative "twerking" - the 2013 version of dirty dancing- positions broadcast on national TV:
Yep, that's 20 year old Disney star Miley Cyrus with 35 year old Robin Thicke - making "cool" suggestive dance motions that teens are doing when parents arent's watching - "twerking."

And while all this may shock and desensitize some kids - like actor Will Smith's kids were during the VMA performances Sunday night - the harsh reality is that this is the new cool. Stars like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Eninem and others, together with sex education promoters like Planned Parenthood are grabbing America's next generation of leaders' innocence and endangering hopes of future marital stability and mental health - and getting shamefully rich in the process.
By the way, Robin Thicke isn't innocent in this either. This summer's hit "Blurred Lines" suggests rape is okay because it's what women really want - or so the song says. When asked, Thicke admitted the "Blurred Lines" video is degrading to women. In an interview with GQ, he said it was all a joke:
"We tried to do everything that was taboo. Bestiality, drug injections, and everything that is completely derogatory towards women. Because all three of us are happily married with children, we were like, 'We're the perfect guys to make fun of this.'"
The question is, do parents care anymore? Or are they unable to guide their children because of guilt from their own teen escapades and a culture that persuaded them that sexual purity and waiting for marriage are weird and uncool?
At the same time, one out of four college age girls is battling sexually-transmitted diseases and the pornography industry is seeing an unprecedented outbreak of AIDs among its leading actors.
And Miley Cyrus, Planned Parenthood are the new cool now. How did that happen?
