CHICAGO - The 2014 Illinois gubernatorial campaign officially launched this week with State Treasurer Dan Rutherford's 3-day bus tour around the state. Then today, businessman Bruce Rauner's announced with a campaign video.
But Rutherford and Rauner are likely not to be the only two candidates circulating petitions starting in September. It looks like Bloomington's State Senator Bill Brady will try for a third time, and Burr Ridge's State Senator Kirk Dillard will also be announcing soon.
On the Democrat side, Governor Pat Quinn says he plans to run for re-election in 2014, and Attorney General Lisa Madigan nor former White House Chief of State and Commerce Secretary Bill Daley said this week not to count him out yet for 2014.
