CARPENTERSVILLE, IL - Few conservatives in Illinois have grabbed more attention and criticism over the years than 89 year old Otto Engineering founder Jack Roeser. In 2012 alone, he set out to single-handedly initiate an Illinois presidential campaign for Rick Perry, oust Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan, and challenge entrenched Democrat forces within Cook County.
Over the years various political foes have dubbed him many things. But Roeser continues to step up and generously contribute to conservatives that share his political philosophy.
In fact, according to available records with the Illinois State Board of Elections, Roeser is the most generous "conservative" Republican in the state's history. Over the years he's contributed $3,685,862+. He's donated over $753,000 to political candidates, groups, and Republican organizations in 2012 alone. (see data below) And that doesn't include the investment he's made in federal candidates, non-profit groups, or his political organization in Carpentersville.
While some may criticize Roeser's opinions and his investment choices over the years, one can't argue that he has certainly put his money and his energies where his ideals are. No single conservative has given more in dollars to turn Illinois around and try to change its political reputation. Only time wil tell if his generosity will pay off.
Roeser's Republican Renaissance PAC shows the following contributions in 2012:
