Scott Thomas, 56, first became known to Illinois conservatives when he succeeded Sandy Rios on the afternoon drive home slot on the Chicago Christian station WYLL AM1160 in 2003. Scott was an effective spokesman for the conservative movement as a radio host, and as man of God went he went fulltime into the ministry. During 2006 before becoming a pastor, Scott was an active contributor to Illinois Review.
Scott Thomas was a huge man, both physically and spiritually. He had a heart for good and was an encouragement to all he met. He went home to be with his Lord this morning after a long battle with cancer. Dave Weiser, Scott's producer, reported on Facebook that Scott was in a lot of pain these last two weeks. We grieve the loss of this giant of a man and know that God is welcoming home an effective representative of Himself.
