Wonder if all those great Will County Tea Partiers will think this is a good move or bad move for the young Congressman Kinzinger? From USAToday.com
Rep. Adam Kinzinger, an Illinois Republican serving his first term, said he won't join the House Tea Party Caucus created last year by Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, even though he embraces the movement's ideals."I don't think there's anything wrong with (the caucus).
But I'm not here to represent them or any individual interest. I'm here to represent the 11th District," Kinzinger said. "It's important to say, 'The Tea Party asked us to come up here and be independent legislators.' "
The last list available on the web of U.S House members in Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann's (R-MN) House Tea Party Caucus is dated July, 2010. No Illinois House members were listed at the time.
U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) will be holding the first meeting of the Senate's Tea Party Caucus Thursday in DC. No expectation that Illinois' U.S. Senators Mark Kirk or Dick Durbin will be participating.
