In a strong statement of support for the re-election of two Carpentersville trustees who introduced a city resolution to make English the city's official language, Illinois Minutemen Chicago Minuteman Project take on Joshua Hoyt and the Illinois Coalition of Immigrant and Refugee Rights in an email blast:
" . . . Technically, not-for-profits are not allowed to be involved in political activity but how that gets defined seems to be rather hazy. A not-for-profit is not allowed to endorse a candidate or a political party. ICIRR gets around this legal obstacle by claiming to be in the business of “education.” ICIRR receives $3,000,000 annually from the State of Illinois. Joshua Hoyt is the Executive Director with a salary of around $80,000 a year. ICIRR has a large, full-time, well-paid staff that churns out disinformation that the MSM happily consumes and regurgitates back out to the public. . ."
CORRECTION: IR editor regrets confusing the two organizations Illinois Minutemen and the Chicago Minuteman Project in the original posting.

From the Illinois Minutemen Chicago Minuteman Project:
Carpentersville Trustees Paul Humpfer and Judy Sigwalt are up for re-election on April 17th. These are two amazing individuals who deserve to be re-elected as Carpentersville Trustees. They could have sat quietly and done nothing and watched their community deteriorate under the onslaught of illegal immigration. But instead they saw what was wrong and said something. They pointed out the truth while others stuck their heads in the ground out of fear. Humpfer and Sigwalt are the kind of patriotic and courageous Americans we need in elected office.
Meanwhile, Tom Roeser, President of Otto Engineering, is the typical wealthy fat-cat who throws his money around in order to get what he wants. Roeser is a pro-illegal advocate and is the largest employer in Carpentersville. He is actively funding the illegal lobby in order to seat his own Trustee-Puppets on the Board. Evidently, his concern is that if he doesn’t have enough illegals to hire for his company he fears his profits might decline a percentage point or two.
[IR editor's note: Mr. Roeser says in the ABC7 video that Otto Engineering does not have illegals employed "that he knows of . . ."]
ABC7’s, Andy Shaw, had a piece on the local news last evening on the Carpentersville election that was unusually balanced considering it came from the MSM. (To watch click here) Shaw makes much of the large crowd of two thousand protesting illegals during a Board meeting last fall. But Shaw, as well as the rest of the MSM, never asks the right questions regarding these crowds. The right question in this case is, “where does all the money come from to organize two thousand illegal aliens to attend a Board meeting in Carpentersville?” Indeed! Who pays for all those yellow school buses to transport the illegals? Who pays for all those well engineered protest signs? Who pays for the box lunches for the illegals while being delivered to their next protest site? Organizing all this takes a lot of time and effort. Do the people who do all this work, work for free or are they paid? Who really pays for all this?
Unfortunately, the Illinois tax-payer does! One has to look carefully at the signage carried by the aliens at one of their rallies. If it is one of those slick-looking factory-made signs you will invariably see the letters ICIRR. Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) is the propaganda arm of the Blagojevich administration. Technically, ICIRR is not an agency of the State of Illinois but a registered not-for-profit organization. The pro-illegal position is broadcast daily by the MSM.
So why does the Blagojevich Administration give millions to a pro-illegal lobby? We all know that illegal aliens promote crime, gangs, illicit drug use. Everyone with eyes to see knows they are a drain on scarce public resources. The operating budget of the State of Illinois has been shaky for years. So what could Blagojevich be thinking? The dirty little secret appears to be “politics.” Immigrants and especially the illegal ones, have always been the stuff of machine politics. Illegals are more malleable, more flexible, more easily brought into the organization. With the promise of a job, money and protection, machine politicians want their favors returned on Election Day.
But ICIRR is clearly working to influence elections using tactics of intimidation. Joshua Hoyt and his crew have crossed the line. Hoyt needs to be prosecuted for misuse of public funds and thrown in prison. It’s all as corrupt as corrupt can get. Where is Patrick Fitzgerald when you need him?
