Don't you find it ironic that someone who has so little respect for traditional marriage that he adamantly opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996 and says he would oppose a constitutional ban on gay marriage is the same person held up as part of an American marital bliss icon?
Don't be. When it comes to the media extolling the attributes of St. Barack, nothing should surprise us.

On Jan. 10, 2005, newly elected U. S. Sen. Barack Obama sauntered a victory lap inside the Illinois state Capitol, where he had just tenured seven years as state senator.
A journalist recently wrote that journalists can't seem to write about Obama these days without using the term "rock star." At that time, Obama was famous for the speech he gave five months prior at the Democratic National Convention but not yet the celebrity he is today, like the 1962 Beatles in Hamburg, to correlate.
So as Obama bid farewell to former colleagues and staffers, he attracted small crowds but was still approachable.

Barack Obama attributes the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope" to his pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ's Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Jr., who he met 20 years ago. Wright is an outspoken critic of George W. Bush, and calls those who voted for him "stupid."
