CHICAGO - Complaining about his self-imposed diet, Gov. Pat Quinn attempted to garner voter sympathy today by telling an audience that living on what he claims is a minimum wage budget has meant eating graham crackers for dinner.
Quinn announced he'll spend only $79 a week on food and entertainment as a way of bringing attention to his attempt to raise the minimum wage in Illinois. The $79 cap was determined by Quinn himself.
In response to the Quinn stunt, one political activist said, "relative to Rauner, it looks like Quinn could stand to lose a few pounds."
