CHICAGO - "Do you know who your state senator is?" was a question Republican candidate for State Senate Don Wilson asked during the North Chicago Community Days Parade.
No one Wilson talked to knew the Democrat that has been serving the 30th District for the past 17 years - State Senator Terry Link.
Wilson, a village trustee in Gurnee, has been a local radio talk show host for over 20 years. The 30th District in Chicago far north suburbs was recently hit with news that more area jobs are moving to Wisconsin. Wilson pointed to Senator Link and Governor Quinn's policies as a major reason U-line industries is moving 475 jobs northward.
"The failed policies of Senator Link and Governor Quinn are forcing employers out of Lake County and into surrounding states. This needs to stop for the sake of families in the 30th District,” Wilson said. "If we continue with the Terry Link/Pat Quinn policies we will lose more jobs in Illinois, which is proven by their track record."
“We cannot continue to vote for the same people and expect a different outcome,” Wilson said.
