GLENVIEW - Two years ago with a write-in vote campaign, Glenview attorney Greg Bedell challenged State Rep. John D'Amico for his 15th House District seat. Now Bedell is on the November ballot, and after 10 years, the voters of his district will have a choice.
“The State of Illinois needs a new direction under new leadership. Incumbent Rep. D’Amico is part of the Madigan machine that has driven Illinois to high unemployment, one of the lowest job creation rates in the country and one of the worst financial conditions of any state in the Union. Illinois is in a downward spiral that has to stop. The People of Illinois deserve better,” he said.
Making Illinois better has become the focal point for Bedell’s campaign. He believes that the road to recovery for Illinois begins with a focus on three priorities:
- Protect people’s income and don’t raise taxes
- Provide choice for children’s education
- Use common sense to serve people’s interest, not special interests
Bedell, is married with two children and a 1982 graduate of the College of the University of Chicago. He has been practicing law in Chicago since 1985. He has served on the Board of Directors of Operation Homefront-Illinois, which helps the families of deployed service personnel and wounded warriors and is currently a Director of the Federalist Society, Chicago Lawyer’s chapter.
