PONTIAC - State Treasurer Dan Rutherford fired three top administrators last week after an investigation found the three allegedly faked time records and one appeared to have engaged in "workplace harassment," AP reports.
- Patrick Carlson, 38, made $99,000 a year as Rutherford's scheduler and transportation arranger.
- Ashvin Lad, 40, made $80,000 as director of Invest in Illinois, a treasurer's office program.
- George Daglas, 31, made $71,500 directing community affairs and marketing. He also managed Rutherford's 2010 campaign for treasurer.
The letters provided to the AP reportedly say the dismissals came after the treasurer's inspector general found Carlson violated "workplace harassment" rules, while all three had broken rules and falsified timekeeping records.
Treasurer Rutherford was sued earlier this year by a former employee that accused the treasurer of sexual harassment and political coersion. Rutherford denies the charges.
