UPDATE x1: 2:48 7.31.2014 - via Townhall.com - House leadership has pulled a border security bill from the floor, which means it will not receive a vote before Congress goes on their August recess tomorrow. The bill was pulled due to a lack of support and the necessary vote threshold could not be met.
WHEATON - Members of the West Suburban Patriots and Illinois Tea Party voiced their outrage with the Obama Administration's pro-amnesty policies Wednesday at the corner of Butterfield and Naperville Roads in Wheaton.
The groups are calling for calls to Congress before the August recess, urging them to vote as follows on immigration legislation:
- Vote "No" on House $659 million border bailout UNLESS they add
- U.S. Senator Ted Cruz's DACA fix language (HR5160) and
- Fix language on Chaffetz/Goodlatte OTM/UAC (HR5137)
C. Steven Tucker told Illinois Review DuPage County locals supported their efforts with "lots of honks and thumbs up," with just a few objecters among the many that passed the busy intersection.
