PALATINE - With his Primary win official, and with no Democrats filing to run against him, John Curry will be elected Cook County Judge in the 13th Judicial Subcircuit to fill the seat of retiring Judge Anthony Iosco.
“I am humbled and honored to have been nominated by my Party to serve as Cook County Judge. I look forward to being endorsed by the voters in the General Election in November,” said Curry.
Curry won the Republican primary against his opponent Gary W. Seyring by 75 votes.
No candidates ran in the Democratic Primary in this race, and the deadline for established parties to file candidates passed on Monday with no Democrats filing to run in the 13th Judicial Subcircuit – Iosco Vacancy. This leaves John Curry as the only candidate for this vacancy on the General Election ballot in November.
Curry emphasized to the residents of the 13th Judicial Subcircuit: “As your Circuit Court Judge, I will serve you with dedication, integrity, and impartiality. I will work to improve the Cook County court system, and most importantly do my part to serve justice in fraud and corruption cases in our County.”
The 13th Judicial Subcircuit includes all of Barrington, Hanover, Palatine and Schaumburg Townships and a portion of Wheeling Township.
