CHICAGO - Since the March primary, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner has written checks totalling nearly $1M to support his own campaign and a petition drive, as well as Republican candidates and local organizations.
The Illinois State Board of Elections shows Rauner wrote a check for $526,000 to his own campaign the day after the March primary and $350,000 to the Term Limits petition drive. In addition, he's sent $13,100 to local and state Republican candidates and another $42,000 to local GOP organizations.
During that time frame, Mrs. Rauner has written checks to two federal campaigns: Terri Lynn Land, running for U.S. Senate in Michigan and U.S. Senator Susan Collins for Maine.
The next quarterly reporting date for the FEC is July 15th.
