The Heritage Foundation held a panel discussion on the Benghazi massacre that occurred in September of 2012. The purpose for the event was to ascertain how the U.S. government failed to protect U.S. citizens in its U.S. Embassy during a period of unrest. Saba Ahmed attended the conference and posed a question that was off topic regarding so-called Islamophobia and the panelists went about answering her question.
Particularly brilliant was Brigitte Gabriel who laid down some of the most simple and concise arguments regarding the accusations of bigotry that are occassionally thrown down by peaceful Muslims.
The MSM is doing their best to portray Ms. Gabriel's response as an over-the-top personal attack on Ms. Ahmed which it was not. Additionally, and I am quoting heavily from a good friend who took the time to dig into this matter further -
Ahmed is more than just a "student." She has a lobbying firm in Washington, DC. She once ran for Congress while living in Oregon. She came to the aid of the Christmas tree bomber who attempted to set off a vanload of explosives in a downtown Portland park where Christmas revelers were celebrating. The bomb was actually a dummy, part of an FBI sting investigation.
She spoke against the war in Iraq at an Occupy rally in Oregon, has worked on the staff of Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy (VT) and has been a Democratic activist for a long time.
Here is a link to a Heritage video that shows the exchange from beginning to end. I have uploaded the edited version to provide just the exchange between Gabriel and Ahmed:
