Freedom Works President Matt Kibbe was in Chicago Wednesday for a lunch at the Heartland Institute. He was discussing his new book titled "Don't Hurt People And Don't take their Stuff, A Libertarian Manifesto."
As you can guess, Kibbe is writing about limited government. The title says it all. During his comments, Kibbe mentioned six principles as rules for liberty.
1) Don't Hurt People
2) Don't Take People's Stuff
3) Take Responsibility
5) Mind your Own Business
6) Fight the Power
The Heartland Institute is quite active these days promoting freedom and liberty under the direction of Joe Bast and Jim Lakely. They are on the front lines in debates on so-called "climate change," "school choice," the evils of Common Core, while promoting free markets.
The Heartland Institute hosts guest speakers several times a month. This September 12, 2014 they will have their annual fundraiser with Joe Walsh and top conservative author Michelle Malkin as the keynote. Call 312-377-4000 for details.
