The crack in the Liberty Bell is getting much worse. Even the most severe critics of the Obama Administration have underestimated the degree to which the President routinely violates his oath of office and actively labors to undermine the rule of law in America.
At first, conservatives held their fire because Sen. Obama had made history in 2008 as the first non-white person to be elected president and the country wanted to unite behind his idealistic promise of a post-partisan era. The promise was so quickly forgotten as the violations of law were incremental when discoveries were made about violations of campaign donor regulations and about vote fraud cases in major cities.
Other violations of law dealt with amendments to existing law made only by the Executive and not by Congress as a co-equal branch.
Now we have seen the administration endorse a massive prison break of criminals who are who are not legally present in the United States in the first place. Why haven't conservatives and even iberal critics screamed louder at the abuses of the Obama Administration? Because it is frightening to all of us that the democratic system we loved is under active attack from our own government.
The President has always said he believes in what he calls "audacity" and what others more accurately term his megalomania disorder fed by a fawning left-wing media establishment. I have never been a hawk on fighting illegal immigration but I was wrong because if millions of new aliens become citizens overnight this year and also join the voter rolls, the chances of restoring liberty and the rule of law become almost insurmountable in the near term.
