Today is the annual National Day of Prayer, which was established by Congress 62 years ago. And according to a new survey by Rasmussen, most Americans continue to support the tradition.
Sixty percent (60%) of American Adults favor the federal government recognizing a National Day of Prayer. Only twenty-one percent (21%) oppose it, and 19% are undecided.
The survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted on April 28-29, 2014 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
