The Arcada Theater was rocking Tuesday night as Kevin Chalfant from Journey sang "Don't Stop Believing." Everybody in the room was dancing as the Illinois Tea Party held their 6th annual Tax Day Tea Party on April 15, 2014 in Saint Charles, Illinois.
About 600 dedicated conservative "patriots" listen to speeches and music. The all star line up included, former congressman, Joe Walsh, U.S. Senate candidate Jim Oberweis, Congressional Candidate Larry Kleifesh, WLS talk show host Dan Proft, Illinois State Rep Jeanne Ives, and Conservative Jack Roeser to name a few.
The event was organized by tea party leaders Denise Cattoni and Steven Tucker. The Tea Party is made up of just regular folks concerned about taxes, the constitution and freedom.
The theme of course was ,"Believe,". There was a call to action of getting involved. The feeling is we need to lower the size, scope, and cost of government. This means less taxes, less spending and less borrowing.
This will create more freedom over all for everybody. After all the "Tea" in Tea Party stands for "TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY."
