BARTLETT - Bartlett Republican Frank Napolitano is making a bid for Republican State Central Committee for the 8th Congressional District. He explained his reasons for seeking the job in an appeal to those voting next Saturday at the DuPage County GOP Convention.
Two others are also vying for the spot - DuPage County GOP Chairman Darlene Ruscitti and Schaumburg Township GOP Chairman Ryan Higgins.
"I believe in the Republican Party Platform, but believe we need to do a better job delivering the message and recruiting strong candidates," Napolitano sai. "I believe the State Central Committee role is pivotal in delivering the message, recruiting candidates and increasing Republican voter turnout.
Some people believe we need to move to the center and be the party of “us too” or Democrat light on social issues, Napolitano said.
"I do not, I believe we need to be boldly different than the liberals, as Ronald Reagan believed. 'Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people' Ronald Reagan said to CPAC 1975." Napolitano said.
Napolitano emphasized that he believes in the RNC platform and the Illinois GOP platform.
"I believe we need to be proud of our conservative values and let the voters know there is a clear alternative to the liberal Democratic Party. There is a party that will defend their individual liberties and freedoms and a party that will bring an end to the nanny state and return us to a state and nation of personal responsibility," he said.
Napolitano is a 13 year resident of Bartlett (just moved to Bloomingdale - still in the 8th CD) a GOP precinct committeeman, former Bartlett village trustee, a former District U-46 school board member, founder of DuPage Conservatives, former chairman of the Illinois Center Right Coalition.
