UPDATE: Visitation and services will be Monday at St. Patrick's Parish at 6N491 Crane Road in St Charles. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 Noon, followed immediately by the Funeral starting at 12 Noon.
ST. CHARLES - Former IL GOP Chairman Pat Brady's wife Julie died Friday after battling ovarian cancer for several years.
Mrs. Brady was an attorney and former Department of Justice Honors Programs Prosecutor. She also served as Special Counsel to Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.
An announcement of Mrs. Brady's death came via Bruce Rauner's gubernatorial campaign, who released a statement:
"Diana and I are saddened to hear of the passing of Julie Brady. She was a remarkable woman who cared passionately about Illinois and our nation. She dedicated much of her life to justice and improving the lives of others. Our hearts go out to Pat, their children and the entire family."
Another statement was issued from U.S. Senator Mark Kirk: "It is with a heavy heart that I offer my condolences to the Brady family upon learning of Julie Brady's passing today. I have had the pleasure of knowing, working with and, most importantly, being close friends with the Brady family for many years. Julie's dedication, passion and love for her family, our state, and our nation was unparalleled. My thoughts and prayers are with Pat and their four children."
