“The Republican Party needs new leadership in our county. Lake County used to be Republican red, yet the county has been growing bluer every year as Democrats have won elections in areas that used to be reliably Republican," Brin said. "We need new energy and fresh ideas at the top to support the hard-working Republican Precinct Committeemen and Township Chairmen throughout the County who currently receive little to no support from their CountyChairman and organization.”
A convention of Lake County precinct and township committeemen will gather by April 16th to determine whether they will re-elect current Chairman Robert Cook or head in a new direction with Brin at the helm.
UPDATE x1: Also running for the position of Chairman for the Lake County Republican Central Committee is Mike Amrozowicz. Mike has been active with the Warren Township Republican Organization for over ten years and has been its Chairman for the last six years. Mike announced his intention to run for Chairman several weeks ago and has been actively communicating with committeemen and other township chairman throughout the county
Wednesday, Brin released a 10-page plan for building the county's Republican organization, including recruiting new committeemen, raising funds, enhancing communications, and encouraging cooperation among like-minded political groups.
