LINCOLNSHIRE - In an effort to show that Republicans care about the environment, Tuesday, Republican candidate for 10th CD Bob Dold celebrated Earth Day at Stevenson High School during the Illinois Healthy and High Performing School Symposium.
"There are so many ways that we can take steps to reduce our footprint and save money by using energy more efficiently," Dold's campaign said.
The 10th district boasts some of the nation’s most beautiful and diverse landscapes – from prairie reserves to Lake Michigan and that's reason to be concerned about preserving it for future generations.
"As inhabitants of this great environment, we have a responsibility to our children and ourselves to protect it. And our work is not over yet; I encourage you join Team Dold on Saturday at North Point Marina in Winthrop Harbor as we close out our Earth Day activities by exploring the Marina and learning about the lake and local trails," Dold said.
