According to Board of Election records, the PAC has raised $70,000 from such GOP notables as Dick Duchossois and Portillo's Hot Dogs, Inc., which have contributed $10,000 and $20,000 respectively.
Ormsby has been investigating whether the purpose of the PAC is to support State Sen. Kirk Dillard in his gubernatorial campaign, or to back Keith Matune who is challenging incumbent Republican State Rep. Ron Sandack.
Brian Krajewski, a DuPage County Board member and the committeeman of the Downers Grove Township Republican Organization, is chairman of the PAC and most decidedly not a supporter of Sandack.
In fact, according to Ormsby, Krawjeski is expected to official slate Matune as his township’s official candidate on March 10.
While it remains to be seen where this new PAC puts it money, there is little doubt where Dan Proft's Liberty Principles PAC is putting theirs. Below are some of the mailers the PAC had done to-date.
