CHICAGO - The Republican Governors Association (RGA) has put $750,000 into businessman Bruce Rauner's campaign for Illinois governor, saying it is a sign the group is "all-in" to defeat Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn in November.
Rauner spent more than $14 million on the primary, including more than $6 million of his own money. Republicans see Quinn as vulnerable because of Illinois' dismal financial situation and high unemployment. However, it is shaping up to be a very expensive race.
