CHICAGO - Rauner will win the IL GOP gubernatorial primary next Tuesday, says Ogden & Fry, an independent polling company. They report running a non-commissioned poll, querying 4,177 respondents for their Republican Primary preference for Governor Monday.
With social conservative split between three candidates, Rauner - a social moderate - and his ability to write checks and raise donations from Chicago's well-heeled will seal the deal.
Ogden & Fry say respondents were selected by random sampling over all 102 counties based on previous voting patterns. Candidates were polled according to their ballot position. Their findings:
