SPRINGFIELD - Tuesday, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) announced their endorsement of six members of the U.S. House of Representatives running for reelection. “We support the candidates who support small business," said Kim Clarke Maisch, state director of NFIB/Illinois. The candidates they picked are:
- 6th District: Peter Roskam
- 13th District: Rodney Davis
- 14th District: Randy Hultgren
- 15th District: John Shimkus
- 16th District: Adam Kinzinger
- 18th District: Aaron Schock
"Year after year, these candidates have supported Main Street Illinois by consistently voting for legislation that would help our small businesses grow and create jobs," Maisch said.
Only two of the endorsed candidates face GOP primary challengers. Rodney Davis is being challenged by attorney Erika Harold and Adam Kinzinger is being challenged by Rockford Tea Party leader David Hale.
The NFIB did not make a pick in the four-way 11th CD primary between Republicans Darlene Senger, Bert Miller, Chris Balkema and Ian Bayne.
