CHICAGO – Campaigning to keep his job, Democrat Governor Pat Quinn says he’s ready to make another push for a law mandating that businesses give employees paid sick days.
Implying Illinois' employers lack compassion, Quinn said: “I really feel we have to be a lot more humane and our proposal of two sick days a year for folks who work hard, I think that is pretty reasonable and I think it is really in the interests of all.”
Quinn is also pushing to raise the state's minimum wage.
