SPRINGFIELD - Chicago Teachers Union chief Karen Lewis was in Springfield Wednesday to participate in a labor rally against any discussion or attempt to adjust government union pensions.
While speaking, the cadre of union protestors chanted "Run for Mayor!" calling on Lewis to challenge Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
Unfortunately for Lewis, her husband won't allow her to run. Lewis told reporters: “My husband has said ‘no.’”
Asked if that meant she had ruled out a mayoral run, Lewis repeated herself: “My husband has said ‘no.’”
