PLAINFIELD - Will County Republican and area Tea Party groups are banding together Tuesday, January 14, 2014 to provide Republican gubernatorial primary candidates an opportunity to share their views and solutions for Illinois challenges. State Senators Kirk Dillard and Bill Brady, as well as State Treasurer Dan Rutherford, have confirmed they will participate.
The active coalition of organizations held a similar forum just before the 2010 gubernatorial primary election and over 1000 Will County voters attended. Organizers are hoping for a similar turnout next Tuesday.
A straw poll will also be taken and the findings released that evening. Plainfield High School doors will open at 6:00 PM and the forum will commence at 7:00 PM. WLS AM's talk show host Dan Proft will be emceeing.
