CHICAGO - Yesterday, Chicago Republicans began revealing their picks in the GOP gubernatorial primary.
Chicago GOP Chairman Adam Robinson, Chicago Young Republican President and GOP State Central Committeeman Angel Garcia, as well as 42nd Ward Committeeman Eloise Gerson announced their personal support for State Treasurer Dan Rutherford and his running-mate Steve Kim during a press conference Sunday afternoon in Chicago.
Monday morning, 44rd Ward Republican Committeeman Scott Davis endorsed State Senator Kirk Dillard in the March 18th GOP primary.
"A strong advocate for fiscal responsibility, Kirk Dillard combines a unique background of legislative, executive and strong leadership experience that Illinois needs in its next Governor," Davis said in a press release.
The Cook County GOP, which the Chicago GOP is part of, endorsed Chicago businessman Bruce Rauner in the gubernatorial race.
