PALATINE - Nearly 700 pro lifers braved the snow and cold weather Saturday in Palatine to express their concern for America's unborn and their mothers.
State Senator Matt Murphy (R-Palatine) and State Representative Tom Morrison (R-Palatine) addressed the marchers organized by the Northwest Families for Life.
"For the first time, this year the parental notification law will be enforced," Morrison said, reminding marchers that despite the power of the abortion lobby in Springfield, parents of minor girls will now be notified 24 hours prior to an abortion. Morrision said a legislative measure will be introduced this month to honor Tonya Reaves, who died in 2102 after an abortion at a Chicago Planned Parenthood.
