State Rep. Dwight Kay introduces 'knockout game' legislation
EDWARDSVILLE, IL – Republican State Rep. Dwight Kay hopes to get harsher penalties enacted for those who participate in the latest trend, the "knockout game."
Kay introduced the Knockout Assault Prevention Act, which would make the violent act a Class 2 felony with a 3-7 year prison sentence. In addition, if a minor commits the act, the case could be turned over to an adult criminal court.
