SPRINGFIELD - Attention ObamaCare website shoppers. If you were on the state's "Get Illinois Covered" website recently, and although you make more than $15,860 annually, you were referred to Medicaid coverage instead of private insurance options, you should re-start the application process.
In other words, if you're one of the 185,000 Illinoisans that have been notified your policy is facing cancellation, please go to the back of the line and start over, state officials say.
Among those who've visited ObamaCare's glitch-ridden website, over 30,000 Illinoisans were pointed to Medicaid coverage, and that may be more than officials expected. Medicaid is taxpayer-funded public health care for the poor that allows access to a limited number of doctors and hospitals, and even fewer health care specialists.
