"I am personally proud to have the support of a good friend," said Rutherford. "Jim and I worked together in the legislature and will continue to work together to bring Illinois residents a financially stable state government and a better business climate where we will lower the unemployment rate. I want to make this state a place that our families will, once again, want to call home for future generations."
"I am pleased to lend my full support to Dan Rutherford for Governor. He will be a tireless worker for private sector employment in our state," said Sacia.
Sacia shared a story about Rutherford, saying "Hirschbach Transportation is a very successful company in East Dubuque, Illinois with 750 trucks and 1500 employees. They were strongly courted by Dubuque, Iowa to relocate their facility and were offered over $2 million in incentives to do so. After six months of inaction by the Quinn administration, I decided to contact Dan to see if he could help. Treasurer Rutherford took immediate action by meeting with company officials, along with myself, and a program was crafted to assist them in a significant financial endeavor. Hirschbach Transportation is in Illinois today thanks to Dan Rutherford," said Sacia.
