Reverend Wright warned Barack Obama about chickens coming home to roost. Now that the endless litany of lies that he told while conning gullible people about his health care scheme are on prominent display, even Democrats are scrambling to distance themselves from this rolling disaster. You can keep your doctor? You can keep your plan? Signing up will be as easy as buying a book from Amazon.com? Not so much. The only defense for these whoppers is that any fool could plainly see that they were untrue the minute Obama told them. "You believed that stuff? Seriously?"
Even the application of the universal cure for every ailment, an Obama TelePrompTer reading, hasn't quelled the outcry. During last Monday's Rose Garden appearance, the One spoke about "marketplaces" where people can purchase health insurance for a monthly premium less than the cost of their cellphone or cable bills. He called that a "good deal."
There are no marketplaces, just a top-down bureaucratic hell, and the only people getting a good deal are the takers, the beneficiaries of Barack's stash. The rest of you are seeing premiums spike, which we’re told by administration mouthpieces is a good thing, because insurance companies must now provide Obamacare’s “essential benefits,” including maternity coverage. That’s got to be a great relief to everyone over 55, especially the men.
Now that King Barack Obama has once again exercised his imperial power to delay the Obamacare individual mandate for six weeks, can someone tell me why he and Sen. Harry Reid shut down the government? When will they apologize to Sen. Ted Cruz?
One of our guests today, Humberto Fontova, author of several terrific books, including his latest, The Longest Romance: The Mainstream Media and Fidel Castro has written an interesting piece, “Ted Cruz v. The Republican Establishment,” in which he contrasts Sen. Cruz’ recent actions with those of former Bush administration official John Sununu. Is he really enabling Fidel Castro’s sale of medical quackery by serving as a lobbyist for the brutal dictator?
We’ll also welcome Kathy Shaidle, courageous blogging pioneer, to dish about some of her recent writing about Michael Moore, Dr. Phil, and dinosaur porn. No wonder she’s one of Mark Steyn’s favorites!
