SPRINGFIELD - Thursday, the new Illinois House Republican Leader Jim Durkin (R-Burr Ridge) unveiled his leadership team. State Reps. David Leitch (R-Peoria) and Patti Bellock (R-Westmont) are now Durkin's Deputy Leaders. His Assistant Leaders will be Dan Brady (R-Bloomington), Bill Mitchell (R-Forsyth), and JoAnn Osmond (R-Gurnee).
Although he's running for U.S. Congress in 2014, Mike Bost (R-Murphysboro) will continue to be Conference Chair. Chad Hays (R-Danville), Dennis Reboletti (R-Addison), and Mike Tryon (R-Crystal Lake) were added as first time Assistant Leaders.
How conservative will Jim Durkin's new team be?
Fairly conservative...according to the United Republican Fund, which has done annual legislative scorecards for years.
While Rep. Patti Bellock is the only one recognized as a 2012 URF "LIFT Leader," all those on Durkin's team have above average scores:

- Brady - 66
