As the Illinois General Assembly prepares to go into veto session, the Windy City Times (WCT) has published a running list on where they believe House members are on Senate Bill 10, -- the gay marriage bill.
According to WCT, 52 legislators are identified as either certain or likely "supporters" of redefining marriage, while 50 members are listed as certain or likely "opponents" to it.
Unconfirmed, but "likely no" votes include Darlene Senger (R-41st), Adam Brown (R-102nd), Chad Hays (R-104th), Dan Brady (R-105th), Brad Halbrook (R-110th), Daniel Beiser (D-111th), Dwight Kay (R-112th), and Jay Hoffman (D-113th).
The undecided votes include 11 Democrats: Silvana Tabares (D-21st), Thaddeus Jones (D-29th), Marcus C. Evans, Jr. (D-33rd), Fred Crespo (D-44th), Rita Mayfield (D-60th), Anthony DeLuca (D-80th), Sue Scherer (D-96th), Mary Flowers (D-31st), Luis Arroyo (D-3rd), John D'Amico (D-15th), and Eddie Lee Jackson, Sr. (D-114th).
Undecided Republican votes include: Kay Hatcher (R-50th), John Anthony (R-75th), C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-100th), Dennis Reboletti (R-45th), and Michael McAuliffe (R-20th).
The legislation requires 71 votes to pass the House in veto session.
