QUINCY - As Illinois Review previously reported, Quincy's representative in the Illinois House, Jil Tracy, will be GOP gubernatorial candidate Kirk Dillard's running mate in the team's 2014 bid.
Tracy began serving in the Illinois House in 2006 after serving under Attorneys General Jim Ryan and Lisa Madigan as director in the state Attorney General's West Central Illinois Regional Office for seven years. A graduate of Southern Illinois University, Tracy's political views complement Dillard's, and she scores a lifetime score of 73 on the conservative United Republican Fund's voting tally.
Tracy's not the first in the family to run for lieutenant governor. In 2010, her brother-in-law Don Tracy ran to be the ILGOP's lieutenant governor and lost to Jason Plummer.
