CHICAGO - Wednesday, the Chicago City Council adopted a plan to revoke liquor licenses from restaurants that do not ban firearms, despite Illinois' new state law allowing citizens to carry concealed weapons.
The Illinois State Rifle Association promises another lawsuit, which didn't deter Ald. Edward Burke, who said a law firm has already agreed to represent the city pro bono if the city is sued for the plan.
"Society and the nation say "you're not supposed to drink and drive. You're clearly not supposed to drink and shoot," Mayor Rahm Emanuel said.
