LOMBARD, IL - Lombard Trustee and former Acting Mayor Peter Breen officially launched his campaign for State Representative in the 48th House District last Saturday with a canvassing event. Volunteers gathered hundreds of signatures, his campaign reports.
“Saturday’s overwhelming support for our campaign was not only exciting but inspiring. Folks are tired of the same old, same old institutional approach to politics in Illinois which has resulted in the dire situation we are in today,” said Breen, an attorney for a non-profit Chicago-based legal firm. “Families in our district are ready for new ideas, a new level of energy, and new leadership.”
Breen is challenging ten year incumbent State Rep. Sandy Pihos in the March 2014 GOP primary.
