WASHINGTON DC - Sunday, Illinois' U.S. Senator Dick Durbin was on State of the Union with Candy Crowley, and the topic was immigration - especially the need to check student visas. Durbin sounded tough on those terrorists that might try to enter the U.S. under the guise of seeking an education.
But the Durbin with Crowley was a different Durbin than was with those demanding deportation end last week in Chicago, and different yet when he was interviewed about securing the borders.
The people of Illinois are still trying to figure out exactly what Durbin is proposing with the Gang of 8 immigration reform. The latest, with Crowley:
Before that, with amnesty seekers at Chicago's May Day rally...
And still another response the same day ... including E-verify and visa checks. Confusing or just adapting the message to the audience?
