“After decades of previous legislatures ignoring the problem, we are now forced to make many painful decisions. Pension costs are one of the biggest pieces of our state’s budget and they are growing rapidly. Unfortunately, inaction on pension reform has overcome our state’s budget and now limits funding for our most essential priorities,” said Senger.
